Sampling Instructions

1. Clean the tap thoroughly, including the inlet, with a flame or disinfectant wipe to remove any bacteria on the outside of the tap.


2. Turn on the faucet and allow the water to run for a minimum of 2 minutes.


3. Take the cap of the sterile bottle and immediately fill the container.


4. Replace the bottle cap as soon as the bottle is filled above the 500ml mark (leaving a small headspace) and record the site and date of sampling.


5. Deliver to the IEC as soon as possible, i.e, within 24 hours of taking the sample.
